Galleries
Client galleries that put your photos first.
Galleries that load fast on a phone, keep out of the way so your photos stand out, and carry your branding instead of ours. As far as your clients can tell, you built it.
Your galleries stay live until you take them down. They don’t expire when nobody opens them, and nothing gets archived behind your back.
How it works
From upload to a published gallery in minutes.
Setting up your first gallery is quick. Here’s the whole job, from upload to delivery.
- 01
Drop in your gallery
Drag in the whole shoot at once, even thousands of photos. They keep uploading in the background while you get on with the next thing in Tellisto. If your connection drops, the upload picks up where it stopped.
- 02
Personalise it
There’s a lot you can make your own: your name, logo and colours, a choice of fonts, your own domain on Pro, even whether photo corners are square or rounded. The preview updates as you go, so you can see exactly what your client will see before anything goes out. No surprises later. Everything is designed to put you and your studio front and centre, so your brand and your photos look their best.
- 03
Send one link
Your client gets one short link with your studio's name in it. It opens fast on any device, so they can sit back on the couch and enjoy your work.
- 04
They keep it, you earn
Clients can pay a small yearly fee to keep their photos stored safely, priced by the size of the gallery. On Pro, we share about half of every renewal with you. So you’re no longer the unpaid archivist of every job you’ve delivered.
Your couple keeps their own copy, you earn a share
After delivery
Change a gallery after you’ve sent it.
Just because you’ve delivered a gallery doesn’t mean it’s locked. Add frames, swap in a better cover, reorder a set or refine your edits. Tellisto keeps earlier versions of your gallery, and nothing you change is visible until you press Push live, so your client never sees anything half-finished.
- Edit in private. Rearrange photos, rename or reorder a set, swap the cover, change the downloads. Nothing reaches your client until you push it live.
- Roll back any time. Every push is saved as a version, so you can step back to an earlier one in a click. Photos you’d removed come back with it.
- Hide a set. Hide a whole set from your client without deleting it, and show it again whenever you like.
- See it as they will. Preview the draft you’re about to push, or any past version, exactly as your client will see it. Each preview has its own link, so you can compare two side by side before you push.
What’s inside
The small things your clients notice without knowing why.
- Three gallery layouts, all in your branding. Editorial shows photos full-bleed, edge to edge. Atelier sets them as framed prints on a wall. Proof sheet packs them in a dense grid. Pick the one that suits the shoot.
- Private galleries for shoots that shouldn’t be public. There’s no cover, no preview when the link is pasted into a group chat, and search engines can’t see it. Your client sees a plain screen in your colours until they unlock it. On every plan.
- A PIN on the whole gallery, or on downloads only, so wedding guests can look through the day while only the couple can save the photos. Every gallery link is a long random address that can’t be guessed.
- Clients can give feedback before you edit, or make a formal selection when the job needs one. They pick and submit, and the list locks so you can edit from it. Their favourites and their picks both copy out as a list of filenames that pastes straight into Lightroom’s Library filter.
- Watermark any proofing gallery while your client chooses. When you want to be paid before you deliver, Tellisto adds your watermark to the proofs automatically. Use your logo or your studio name as text, centred or tiled, at the strength you choose, and preview it before any client sees it. Clients can’t get the unmarked files until you unlock downloads.
- If there are four hundred photos and your client wants eleven, they mark those eleven and download them. They don’t have to download everything to find them, or save them one at a time.
- Photo sets to organise the day, such as getting ready, ceremony and reception, each under its own heading.
- Delivering digitals only is the default. Nothing in the gallery pushes prints at your client.
- You decide what clients can download: single images, the whole gallery as a ZIP, or just the photos they’ve chosen, saved straight to their device. Full-res and whole-set ZIP for agents
- Location data is removed from every client copy by default, so a shoot at someone's home doesn't carry their address in the files. Home address stripped from every file
- Your originals keep their colour profile. An Adobe RGB or CMYK master stays exactly as you made it. Only the web copies are converted, so colours look right in a browser.
- Galleries fill whatever screen they’re on, up to five columns on a big monitor. On a phone, clients can move between sets without getting lost.
- The main button, whether that’s download or send their picks, stays at the bottom of the screen as your client scrolls. They never have to scroll back up to find it.
- When someone shares the gallery link in a message, the preview card that appears shows your studio’s branding.
When it goes wrong
One wrong click won’t lose a client’s photos.
At some point you’ll delete the wrong thing at eleven at night, spot a bad frame after sending, or run out of storage halfway through uploading a wedding. None of those should cost you a client’s photos.
- Deleted galleries can come back. A gallery you delete sits in a recently deleted list for about thirty days, and you can restore it in one click. After that it’s removed for good and you get the storage back. So changing your mind costs nothing, and a real delete still frees the space.
- Fixing a frame is easy. When you re-upload a corrected edit, Tellisto asks what to do instead of adding a duplicate: replace it, keep both, or skip. Replace keeps the photo’s place in the gallery, along with its favourites and comments. On a live gallery the swap waits until you push changes live, so your client never sees it halfway.
- You always know how much storage you have left. Tellisto warns you as your storage fills, not when you’re already out. If you do reach your limit, the upload pauses with one message explaining why and a button to resume. It doesn’t fail photo by photo and leave you to work out which ones made it. Removing photos frees up the space, and the storage page shows how much each gallery uses.
- You know your client got it. The gallery shows whether the delivery email went out, and if it didn’t, it walks you through the fix. A send again button works even when the automation is switched off. A finished gallery is marked delivered, so you can check whether a client got it without sending them an awkward text.
Works with
The last step of the job.
The gallery is connected to everything before it. It’s where the enquiry, the booking and the invoice for the same job end up.

The Client Vault
Their photos stay safe, and you stop worrying about them.
Their newborn shoot, kept safe for yearsAsk a photographer what they fear most and it’s rarely a bad shoot. It’s a hard drive dying with five years of client work on it. The Vault takes that off your plate. When you deliver a gallery, your client can choose to have it stored safely for as long as they like.
The client pays for it, from $10 a year (a little more for larger galleries), because it’s their wedding, their newborn shoot, their family. You’re not paying to store finished work, or lying awake at 2am wondering how old your drives are. Keep your RAWs however you like. The delivered gallery is what a client would be devastated to lose, and it stays safe whatever happens to the drives in your office.
On Pro, you also earn from it: about half of every renewal, every year the client renews. That’s recurring income, not a one-off referral fee, from work you’ve already finished and been paid for. A gallery you delivered three years ago can still be earning for you today. Your billing page shows what you’ve earned and what’s due next, and you get an email each time a client keeps a gallery.
The offer goes out in your name, so it’s built to behave the way you would. It reads as part of your delivery rather than a sales pitch. There are no pop-ups, no countdowns and no pressure on the people you photographed. The numbers are in the pricing.
Frequently asked questions
Questions photographers ask
Do galleries ever expire?
Not by themselves. Nothing takes a gallery down because nobody has opened it for a while, and nothing gets archived behind your back. A gallery stays live until you take it down.
Can I change a gallery after I've sent it?
Yes, and your client sees none of it until you're ready. When you edit a delivered gallery, you work on a private draft: add or reorder photos, rename or hide a set, swap the cover. Your client keeps seeing the delivered version until you push your changes live. Each push is saved as a version, so you can roll back to an earlier one in a click. Any photos you'd taken out come back with it.
Can I see a gallery the way my client will?
Yes. You can preview the draft you're about to push, or any past version, exactly as your client will see it. Each preview has its own link, so you can open two side by side and compare them before you push live. What you see in the preview is what your client gets.
Can I keep a sensitive gallery completely private?
Yes. Mark a gallery Private and it shows nothing until it's unlocked. There's no cover photo, no preview when someone pastes the link into a group chat, and search engines can't see it. Your client sees a plain screen in your studio's colours, enters their access code, and then sees the photos. If most of your work is sensitive (newborns at home, boudoir, family), you can make Private the default for every new gallery. It's on every plan, because we don't think privacy should cost extra.
Can I protect a gallery with a PIN?
Yes. Set a PIN and only people your client shares it with get in. You can also set the PIN to cover downloads only. Then anyone with the link can look through the photos, but saving or favouriting them needs the PIN. Without a PIN, the link is still a long random address, so nobody reaches it by mistyping.
What address do my clients see?
Your own. On every plan, your galleries sit at an address with your studio's name on a neutral gallery domain, and the word Tellisto doesn't appear in it. On Pro, you can also point a subdomain of your own website at Tellisto, like galleries.aurora-and-pine.com. Then the whole link your client opens is your own domain.
Can clients download their photos?
Yes, if you allow it. They can download the whole gallery as one file, any single photo in the size they need (full resolution, large, web and social, or small), or just the ones they want. Most tools make that last option a chore. In Tellisto your client marks photos as they browse and sees a running count. Before saving, they get a last look to drop any they've changed their mind about. Then they save exactly those, straight to their phone if that's what they're using. By default, every client copy has its location data removed, so a newborn shoot in someone's back garden doesn't carry their home address in the files.
Do I still need to keep my own backups?
Your RAWs and working files are still yours to manage, and most photographers keep backing them up. The Vault changes who looks after the finished work. Once a client vaults their gallery, the delivered images are kept safe, and they cost you nothing and use none of your storage. You make the offer, and your client decides whether to take it. When they take it, that gallery no longer sits on your storage.
How do favourites and selections work?
There are two ways, depending on the job. Set a gallery to proofing and your clients mark the photos they love and leave notes, on one photo or on the whole gallery. Then they send it all back to you. You see their favourites ranked by how many people chose each one, with the notes alongside, and you get an email when they're done. When a job needs a formal pick against a package, open a selection instead. Your client chooses and submits, and the list locks so you can edit from it. The number of images the package includes is shown next to the list, so any extras are easy to spot and easy to raise. Copy for Lightroom then gives you their picks as a list of filenames that pastes straight into the Library filter. The frames on your screen are exactly the ones they chose. In both cases the gallery shows a banner saying it's in proofing, not the final delivery.
How big can a gallery be?
The free plan includes 20 GB across two live galleries, and Pro includes 1 TB with unlimited live galleries. When a client vaults a gallery, it no longer counts against your storage. Uploads also resume, so if your connection drops, the upload picks up where it stopped instead of starting again.
Is there a size limit per photo?
Yes, and it's generous. On the free plan each photo can be up to 50 megapixels and 200 MB. On Pro each photo can be up to 150 megapixels and 400 MB. That covers full-resolution JPEGs from any current camera. The limit applies to each photo, not the gallery, so a whole shoot of full-size files is fine. Uploads accept JPEG, PNG and WebP, and camera raw is on the roadmap for Pro.
